Wonderful tutorial! I love the calm voice, and it feels like I'm just watching over your shoulder in person. I like that you leave your oopses in there also, and how to fix them! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
You have such patience, this is gorgeous and I’m definitely going to have to have a go at this. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to more videos. 💕
What a great follow up tutorial! Looking forward to more videos. Thanks for sharing, not just your technique, but more importantly your knowledge. Your high level of experience is obvious 😊🙏
I cringe everytime you pull up the veneer because I think it will rip (my experience) You’re definitely a pro at working with these delicate sheets! I’m so in love with your technique!!!
The trick is even slices. If you don't have a cane slicer, you need to be right over your work. I couldn't show that in the video because the camera was in the way. Position it so you are looking straight down.
Lol. I thought you were commenting on the other video. The swirl does take a little practice. And patience. Just go slow and let the clay set the pace. Sometimes it takes me longer than I want to get it to go around.
@@seanabettencourt3751 I’ve just had another go and my second attempt was much better, practice makes perfect! I’ll keep at it over the next few days. I’ve put it away for now as I’ve ran out of patience lol. Thank you for your reply and the fabulous tutorial.😀
What a fantastic use of your beautiful scrapscapes. Thank you! (What I would like to know is how your slice of black ended up 100% the perfect size to fit your scrapscape piece!) ;)
I just love your idea!!! And it turns out so beautiful❣️ Having creative ways to use up scrap clay is something I am always looking for and I think this one is tops!!! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us 🙏
I love how you do them....I like that they are double sided. I have been backing the sheets in black but it doesn't give it a nice clean finish. I will try it without backing the sheets first. Thanks for your video!
@@surrayahsjewels make sure the edges touch and then burnish. You can feel when everything is smooth through the paper. If you don't have the edges close enough before you burnish, it will distort. I hope that helps
HI!! I asked about your burnisher. I can't find the one you have, but I found one called the RSVP clear 49mm Espresso Tamper Stainless Steel. "Like the one you have, it has the rounded edges which is what I was specifically looking for. The Cuisipro 6 inch coffee tamper also seems to have the rounded edge. Doing my obsessive research, the type of tamper that would work best as a burnisher seems to be what is called a C-Flat base. This tamper has curved edges and a flat center. Other types are called euro curve and American curve, but honestly, the C-Flat base seems to be the best.
@@seanabettencourt3751 If I have helped, I am glad to have been of service. And I just want to thank you for your innovative use of scrap clay. It sometimes horrifies me, watching other arts, what I see as the waste, and I think that's why I love watching clay making vids so much, because there is no such thing as waste. Everything can be used, and this is a new way of using it for me, and I am already enthralled by your work!
@@poizonousmoon omg! Good ears. It us out in the hallway and it is hardwired with battery back up. I changed the battery but looks like I need to replace the unit. I just haven't had time to get a new one. I will definitely get that done before the next video 😂😂😂
This is a great idea! Thank you! But you made it way more fiddly than it should have been. And it took forever for you to get there. Please edit more. Keep up the great ideas.
These are so beautiful! I will definitely try to make these 😊 thank you for sharing this technique. I was just wondering about the super-glue and then baking. I know it’s in between layers of polymer clay but does it not emit fumes? Is it safe to bake?
Thank you. I'm not sure about the super glue fumes. I was told many years ago that the brand I use was good in the oven and I never questioned it. I'm not worried about it because the amount of glue used is so small and it is sealed in between the clay. But I understand it is very important not to expose ourselves to too many chemicals.
Not too much pressure. You don't want to distort it. Start with a light pressure and if it doesn't seal together well, do it again with a slightly heavier pressure until you get the feel for it.
These are beautiful. Thank you for showing the whole process, I found it really helpful.
I'm glad you liked it.

I always think of a snail shell (a really beautiful one). Maybe a couple cute snail faces added in for some critter earrings?
I will leave the snail faces to the people who can sculpt. That is not what I do best.😁
